Celebrity lives are all about gossip, scandals, rumors and funk. They are so used to it that if gossip magazines and entertainment blogs are not discussing them, they consider it a drop in their popularity. But if for a while we think what leads to celebrity gossip and scandals, we will find that it is either a stunt or a means to buy some air time. As soon as a leading lady is seen in a lip lock with one of her co-actors, there starts brewing gossip, hotter than coffee.

In Hollywood, gossip initiates from a lot of sources. It could be absolutely anything under the sun. A simple picture of a bikini clad model can give rise to a juicy gossip. To add a cherry on the cake if there is a hero posing with her, then paparazzi is sure to draw a conclusion that they must have spent some time during the ad shoot. This piece of rumor reaches to the girlfriend or wife of the hero and soon there is a lot of mud slinging in public. Media has its mission accomplished! This is exactly what they wanted as the TRP of their news channel and their site increases with leaps and bounds.

There are other instances too when a celebrity's PR makes it a point to get him or her noticed in a manner to attract the attention of paparazzi. This ploy is usually sorted to when the star is on the downward climb of his success graph. Some crazy step taken by the star causes a flutter and the shutterbugs keep chasing them till the star has got what was required.

No matter how reserved and sane a celebrity is, he or she is bound to get netted in the snare of celeb gossip. Even the suave and sexy Richard Gere got into a problematic while he visited India and kissed an Indian actress Shilpa Shetty. This event got loads of hype and then after the media had its fill they went quiet. Remember the day when Angelina Jolie slapped her husband Brad Pitt? It created quite a furor all over. Such things become juice gossip for readers and this breaks the privacy that should be granted to a married couple. But for the gossip hungry there can be no stopping.

Celeb gossip and rumors become high on the list when a movie is slated to release. If the directors are anxious about their movie, they try to create a story that is sure to draw the attention of the paparazzi. Even if the movie fails, there will be ample number of people who will flock to the multiplex only for the gossip item. The ladies are also used to accentuate the gossip column. There is either a topless scene of the actress, or she may be swimming bare bodied or she may even be engaged in passionate sex in the movie. Any one of the steamy items is sure to draw attention to the movie; an attempt that is enough to get the costs made up.

No matter what, gossip is something that always sells. The gossip makers understand and know very well how to sell the sizzle before one reaches the steak!
